Dangs Incidents Unfortunate: Sonia

NASHIK, JANUARY 8: Congress president Sonia Gandhi who visited the Dangs region of Gujarat today described the attacks on Christian tribals on her arrival here as unfortunate.

Talking to mediapersons at the Ozar airport, 20 km from Nashik, she said there was a sense of insecurity among converted tribals in Daang.

The Congress party chief arrived from Mumbai around 10.20 am, switched aircraft and flew to Dangs, where she visited the Ahwa, Malchudaand and Subirgaon villages. She returned to Ozar and flew to Mangalore around 2.20 pm.

She was received at Ozar airport by Congress MPs Madhavrao Patil and Zamru Manglu Kahandole, district unit president Gopalrao Gulve, city unit president Murlidhar Mane and Nashik Zilla Parishad president Anil Aher.
